I am currently working on a new Signature and I wanted the render to stick out somewhat on top of the sig, to give it a different shape, the problem is this. When I save the finished signature, I have ugly white pixilation around the part of the render that is sticking out.... Is there a way to avoid that without having to make another layer and fill it in with black??
i take it you are saving as a gif, and thats the problem right there. gif is really bad quality. i myself make pop out sigs nearly all the time, and the way i do it is to make a layer right at the back, and fill it this colour 242f37 which is the forum background colour. same efect, no quality loss
Well yes I was saving it as a gif. What should I be saving my files as then if not as a gif? and are certain projects better saved as gif ( I know anmations must be saved as gif. format if I am not mistaken) I will give adding the forum background color layer a try! Thanks for your help! It is greatly appreciated!!
i save all mine as jpg round about 8-9 quality ok for 56kers, but still good quality. the only time i can think of saving as gif is animations, otherwise just dont rubbish quality and np about help. i had this problem before
you could also just save it as .png same effect as if used by .gif but way better quality. but for users using Internet Explorer, the part that suppose to be blank it will be filled with a greyish color. here's an example:
I am not sure if this should be in the tutorial request section, as I wasn't really asking for a tutorial. I was just asking a general question in which I recieved general answers, but moderators please feel free to move this post if you feel it should be posted in The Tutorial Request section.
well i was thinking tut request because you are asking for help which is what a tut is but here is fine i gess.
yea, after the site update, the bg colour changed slightly. its now 27323B instead of what it was before
