whoa, yea, ok, i jus realized, how much this gonna suck fer people who are gonna release packs, and people who have heir own lil spots fer renders, GR mods and Admnis are jus takin this to far, why hell are you gonna make them post the place they got it from???? if u find they got it from DA then woopdy doo, ban em, but damn man, dont make em give up their sites. i've noticed that many dont even listen to this rule as i surf the renders sections, and that the render posting has been pratically been cut in half

    yeah, fantastic rule...

especially if you got the pic months ago, and don't remember where you got it <_<

don't get me wrong, it's good for stopping rippers,
but how the hell am i supposed to remeber where i got pics that are 2 years old???
You can't expect people that started to do renders recently to remember where they got pics that are maybe more then a year old...

this is deffintly good but does this mean like renders from game wallpapers 2 because if so then this is alot work for most ppl and less ppl will render images and post them.

Some people cannot give links due to suscription sites...and its gonna make it hard for those renderers who have their own little secret sites...

    Gamerenders is getting very strict

i dont like the new rule at all like nica said some ppl have there own little secret sites that they dont wanna share with other, so they wont render the same ---- over and over. what makes some ppl not share there renders anymore with the community

GR is a community that pretty much basically relies on members, It doesnt offer much ( i mean that in a good way, not as in GR sucks ). So all these strict rules are ackward, If people rip, they rip, and they will be caught... Sooner or later.

If members stopped posting Renders, GR would be nothing basically.

Most of the audience here relies on GR for resources and renders.. which is all provided by members.

I mean, GR gets away with charging 5$ for other peoples premium work in the Renders section which is smart because it pays the bills and lets members help out GR.

But really is this rule needed?

All i can say is, Llamaman owns this place, so we just obey the rules even if theyre bad ideas or good ones :).

If you wish to keep a site quiet, then your allowed to PM the moderators the link instead. The only subscription site i know of that is any decent, is GameWallPapers.

If their is a few you want to provide to me, i'll keep note of them for future references.

This is exactly what I was going to say. Most of the pics I render/am going to render are already sitting in my saved My Pictures folder, and have been sitting there for months or even years. I usually know whether it's a privately copyrighted picture, which I wouldn't render, or a commercial picture, which I will render, but there's no way for me to find out where I got that picture from.

Does this just mean you're not allowed to post a render? Would be depriving the community of a lot of cool stuff.

I understand the concept and reason, but couldn't we have watchers or something instead? Or a "link preferred" rule or something? This is going to mean I, and a lot of others, are not going to be posting all that many renders.

    Frustrationnn.

Don't see whats so hard about posting a link...honestly. Secret website..give me a break...

That has to be the lamest excuse for being lazy i've ever seen...if you spend two hours rendering a pic whats 4 mintues finding a link gonna matter? Even if it is your SECRET website...its the internet! NOTHiNG IS SECRET! Get over it, its a rule now. Obey it.
