Recently alot of people have been complaining for the use of illegal renders in their sig sections. Where does this intially start? The render section.

Everytime you post a render, you need to provide the following information:
    • Where the image originally comes from. Site link, forum link, or GOOGLE link
    • Original Image
    • If you have permission from the author of such pieces at CG or dA, please provide that information in the original thread for the render
We've had a few problems in the past with people caught with rendering dA images, but proved they have gotten it off a third party site. This is to help keep people out of trouble, and to generally help everyone in the process of staying out of trouble. Please note, that we must have the original link to where you got the image from, regardless if its off google.

Two exception is GameWallPapers, where you can host the image on imageshack/or where ever you choose. If you do not wish to reveal a source(website) of where you get your renders from, please PM a moderator online and make sure to include the render topic where it has been posted, so that we can confirm :)

I also remind people that moderators are ready for your reports. Please always report dA renders, illegal renders, etc to a moderator via PM...and we'll get onto it. If you don't see the signature removed, try contacting a different moderator.

Wow is it just me or does that seem odd? Now when someone renders a picture they have to search the link to where they got it from

If anyone posts negative about this rule, then they must have some BIG problems in general with GameRenders. All this does is save your ass when someone turns you in for a copyright render, etc.

smart idea...even takes care of the loophole that the person would say they found it off another site and didnt know it was ripped...

I think it just makes everything harder.. what if you have a pic saved on your computer and you forgot where you got it? But not my place to say if a rule is bad or not.

    That's actually really lame.

What if a I have a secret wallpaper source that I don't want to share with anybody?

What if I want my render to be uncommonly found on these forums?

Guess I won't be posting my renders here anymore. ^_^
