Render Of The Week #5

smrtphoneusr gmv like the render and it's a good cut

 

my vote goes to "Watchers Works"

Why? because that was the only render who was sort of difficult, and had no outlining or whatsoever, not on black and also not on white. That requires some skill that the others didn't seem to posess.


short comments on why the others didn't make it:

jix corp:
- the legs and feet have some outlining.
- the right hand seems to miss some parts
- the fingers are very angular/blocky, as if you just put 3 ancor points to go around them.
- the picture isn't "complete" his back and foot is cut off, which means that you can only use this in signatures or wallpapers with the same size or smaller.

P.H.
- The hair has bright parts, which would look better if recolored.
- the hairs seems to miss some parts (as if you used extraction or something).
- the edges are way too soft which makes it all blurry.

Toybox:
- It has a lot of outlining, specially on white
- the right foot seems to be cut off (probably caused by original picture)
- his ass looks weird.

Trinity:
- Also a lot of outlining
- the skull is angular/blocky
- the picture isn't complete, which means that you can only use it to a limited amount of stuff.

n2o-simpsons:
- it's just way too simple. it looks good, but everyone can do it.

smrtphoneusr:
- I don't like extraction tool
- there is dark outlining on the brighter parts
- the picture is cut off on the rightside
- the bottom-edge is also weird. either choose to keep it all, or leave it all, not parts that are cut-off straight and other parts that are rendered full (the fist).

Randomdude:
- the fire looks blocky/angular and doesn't seem to be "alive"
- it's all very eh sketchy? the edges aren't tight, but very pixely (try to use pen-tool).

T-virus:
- the snake looks angular
- some edges are very smooth (too smooth, feather)
- the brush looks a bit weird.

hulka ftw:
- tires are a bit blocky
- tires are also messed up in using blurr, feather or smudge
- the part where the tires belong is also messed up cuz of above reasons.

J!Xcorp got my vote too couldn't decide between the guy who did the fantastic 4 one and J!X's spiderman.

I think spiderman was the better cut overall.
