This applies to EVERYONE. Asking for +rep includes comments like "rep if used" or "+rep if you like". None of that will be tolerated. From anyone.

The reputation links in sigs are different because they provided a way to directly +rep the member. Before it was modified, pressing the "+" button would require you to fill in the member's name yourself. Guinness70 made those buttons with a small URL fix that automatically included the member's name. We have no problem with those, as they are really no different than the "+" link, in function.

The thing that bugs me, is i can edit those words out of someones post, but they can just as easily put them back. and since i cant warn people for doing that, they dont even get punished. and i refuse to have a stupid e-battle by taking the words out numerous times. The obvious answer is to PM a Global Mod to do it, but thats more tedious work for them.

    Thank you for this.
It's annoying to win an Auction and the PM has the link and say "+rep if you think i deserve" Ugh.

I think you should make a rule for pointless reps too...

    No offence on Girly:

She gets reps saying "your hot" etc, I think those should be deleted.

    Once again, no offence

I agree..In fact..I am going to try to make myself a -rep button also in case I'm naughty..
Of course I dont have the psd for my other button, so It might not work out o_O

EDIT: I agree with the above post. Anytime theres a girl around here the people go crazy and suck up to them

personally, I like talkin to girls also rather than dudes, and I'll suck up also, but I dont see the point of repping them anyway XP I just find chicks more fun to talk to than dudes no offence to over 90% of GR there

I echo that sentiment. Although I'm dissapointed that this issue has only been brought up now, this has been a dominating factor of the forum for a while now, something that is frankly, corrupted.

I'd also like to add that, don't ever +rep someone because they are popular and/or powerful. Repping someone for their gender is really .. well ... inhumane if you ask me. -repping someone for an opinion they have is also ridiculous, if it's racist/offensive then that's perfectly valid, but -repping someone for having an opinion on a fellow member/debatable subject shouldn't happen.

In addition, I think the staff should enforce this rule and give harder punishments for it, this rule is not one which is enforced a lot, and so it is abused a lot. God knows how many times I've reported rep, so I sincerely and profoundly hope that you find a solution soon.

As long as this abuse has been occurring, the rule has been in place for longer. That's why this thread was titled "Reminder". But you are correct, and your points are extremely valid. Both +repping for gender and "e-popularity" are invalid and will result in you losing rep privileges if repeated.

As always, we would appreciate if members would press the little "Report" button when they see this kind of misconduct. It will help us clean up the forum much more quickly.

    NOTICE TO ALL RENDERERS
If you placed a "+rep if you like" in your post, and found it removed, DO NOT PUT IT BACK IN. It was removed for a reason, and if you put it back in, YOU will be removed.

We should start the ''rep is not a currency'' campaign again IMO. That really made a difference.
