Meh, I dont believe in god.. To me, the prospect of bieng created by some holy entity, and angels, demons and the like seems a bit... well, hard to believe.. Still though, I accept whatever everyone else wants to believe, because its up to them, and not me.. I'm gonna post a story. You will have probably read it before, but its still a good read ------ This has a thought provoking message no matter how you believe. Does evil exist? The university professor challenged his students with this question. Did God create everything that exists? A student bravely replied yes, he did!" "God created everything?" The professor asked. "Yes, sir," the student replied. The professor answered, "If God created everything, then God created evil since evil exists, and according to the principal that our works define who we are then God is evil." The student became quiet before such an answer. The professor was quite pleased with himself and boasted to the students that he had proven once more that the Christian faith was a myth. Another student raised his hand and said, "Can I ask you a question professor?" "Of course", replied the professor. The student stood up and asked, "Professor, does cold exist?" "What kind of question is this? Of course it exists. Have you never been cold?" The students snickered at the young man's question. The young man replied, "In fact sir, cold does not exist. According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is in reality the absence of heat. Everybody and every object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (- 460 degrees F) is the total absence of heat; all matter becomes inert and incapable of reaction at that temperature. Cold does not exist. We have created this word to describe how we feel if we have too little heat. The student continued. "Professor, does darkness exist?" The professor responded, "Of course it does". The student replied, "Once again you are wrong sir, darkness does not exist either. Darkness is in reality the absence of light. Light we can study, but not darkness. In fact we can use Newton's prism to break white light into many colors and study the various wavelengths of each color. You cannot measure darkness. A simple ray of light can break into a world of darkness and illuminate it. How can you know how dark a certain space is? You measure the amount of light present. Isn't this correct? Darkness is a term used by man to describe what happens when there is no light present." Finally the young man asked the professor. "Sir, does evil exist?" Now uncertain, the professor responded, "Of course as I have already said. We see it every day. It is in the daily example of man's inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. "These manifestations are nothing else but evil." To this the student replied, "Evil does not exist sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is not like faith, or love, that exist just as does light and heat. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there is no light." The professor sat down. The young mans name --- Albert Einstein
Everything which science says is already given in Qur'an so like stfu & go see how many proofs we Muslims have thrown straight to faces like you people.
Science, true science, does not contradict the existence of a God, nor does it contradict most religions' teachings. What does contradict those teachings is unproven fact (don't get started--it is not a proven fact) that is stated as truth.
you're chastising others for taking the words of another without thought while doing so yourself. Your thoughts are as much a faith as that of the very christians you are insulting. FYI the people in the bible weren't all necessarily form the middle east, though yes they were predominately dark skinned. your point? Europeans adapted the religion and most had never seen a dark person, they drew images with white people and the precedent stuck. WHO CARES? as for the ark a lot of contemporary christians theorize that microevolution took palce and the species differentiated themselves. How could they do this so quickly? Ask God. well have fun bickering this is my only post in this topic. I'll end up alienating people if I continue and say what I REALLY think about this matter.
science and religions dont go with eachother.
I used to think that, until yesterday when I met my biology teacher who has been teaching for 14 years now and has a Masters Degree in biology. Evolution is, in the most basic way I can tell you, is the development of an organism to change into its surroundings to survive. Sorry, not all Christians believe God made everything the way it is and kept it that way. Let's look at this way, there can be a God out there, and when He made those creatures, they can certainly have been given the ability to change and adapt to their surrounds in order to do its ultimate biological goal: Reproduce. Course, that really has no relevance to the debate, I just wanted to point that out, seeing as how I'm quite bored in this household of mine. Again, this entire debate is getting pretty pointless. Atheists and Christians, as I've said so many times before, impose their beliefs on people too much. Yes, they impose, sorry, you're not right because you're atheist. Same for being Christian. Just because you have a different debate, doesn't mean superiority. Different is all it is...different. That's all you're going to get with religion and other beliefs, different. Nothing better, nothing worse (unless specified otherwise <_< ). Just...different.

To those who are so sure that they are right, I would love to see proof And not just a book about it, or a scientific theory on it..
Apparently I am wasting my time discussing about religion to you guys who are offensive. Ferret, get a life mate.
If you can't back up what you say, you are wasting your time. Point: your audience does not believe the Qur'an to be holy, have all the answers, etc. etc. etc. Therefore, give other examples. Quoting scripture does not work for those that do not believe it to be holy. Why is that so hard to accept? I do it all the time when discussing Christianity; I make a point not to quote scripture, instead giving actual examples and stating what that scripture teaches. It gets you a whole lot farther than saying 'shut the f**k up and go read my holy book' does. Oh, forget it. I made a polite comment telling you how to better state your point, trying to help you. I forgot that that's an insult against Islam; go burn down my f**king embassy. (You are so ridiculously pathetic when you're called to back something you said up. Maybe you should try to lock this topic--it would all go away, right?)
