ok, well, i ran a scan to see if i could play battlefield 2. and it said this:
    Video RAM: Required - 128 MB , You have - 0.0 B

soo, someone said i should reinstall my video card. i did the start>run>dxiag thing, and it said i had a 256 mb radeon 9200 video card installed on my computer. so i try and run battlefield, and it won't let me clik the multiplayer tab w/out it locking up and shutting down. So can someone lead me through the steps of reinstalling my video card?

Ive seen your other specs but you kinda will hav problems due to processor and RAM

Ill say vid card is decent :)

If you want to reinstall vid card

You have to uninstall the drivers

Control Panel > System > Hardware > Devive manager

Go into display adapters > Uninstall by right clicking

******IF YOU HAVE THE DRIVERS OFF INTERNET OR CD THEN UNINSTALL******** So that you dont come across any driver issues later after uninstalling

Install drivers again then restart aftere uninstall and installing

You should check their site probably for compatible Video Cards - There is some sort of problem between BF2 recognising your vid card OR unless you havent got any drivers installed Then u have to install ur GFX card drivers :D
    Sounds complicated-lol

BF2 is compatible with most vid cards AFAIK, so it shouldn't be the fact that BF2 is incompatible with ATI, but the fact that it isn't properly configured/installed.
