    stick in your windows cd

    then run setup

then when it asks you what partition to install on, delete that one

    then add a new one

make a slipstreamed xp cd, google for info, basically have sp1 and sp2 install with the initial xp install to quicken the process.

backup everything you need, look EVERYWHERE because i forgot my oblivion and other games saves as i didnt look in my documents lol.

you could do what guitarguru said if you HAVE an installation CD, if you want a complete reformat, choose fresh install and delete all partitions and format (quick format if you want but its not as thorough)

im assuming you have an installation cd though..

Dell didn't provide a Windows installation CD so you might not have one..
In that case you may need to get a license, or you could do whatever anybody else does if they don't want to pay for it (you know what I'm talking about).
They retail at 69.99 GBP from what I've seen.

You will also need all the driver CDs you got from Dell.

I didn't get a Windows CD with my PC, its all there on the harddrive. I just run a special program thing from the BIOS and bam, back to how I got it out the box.
