I keep running into problems with my animations.
Most of the sites I make things for have sig limits under 40kb (combined sig avatar)

I was wondering if anyone knew a method of taking a simple animation.
    ex. [IMG]

And either creating it in a way to make the file size smaller, or compressing it so that its size would meet the 30-40kb limit?

** also, in a way that the background colors do not change when its compressed...

upload it at a host site like imageshack. if its too big for there use easypic.us since they host unlimited image sizes. From there use the direct link

    Nooo, not what I meant.

The people I am making them for are using them on forums that have a limited signature size.

I was asking if anyone had any tricks that they used to reduce size while maintaining quality.
I am pretty new to animation and was looking for advice on keeping the file size small...

I mean, how can some of these animations be 2X bigger than the size of the 2 pictures used to combine them, combined?
