I have had this problem for a long while. My Recycling bin always has 4 items in it. When I open the bin there is nothing in it. According to the properties 1.87 GB space is beung used in there. I am pretty sure that it is something in the registry. If someone even mentions restore they get e-smacked :P Thats not an option. Does anyone have a clue?

    umm..
Do you only have 1 HD?
U can also try downloading ccleaner(.com) and remove it from that.

I have 3 HD, but thats not the problem. I have CC Cleaner, it does not help. Whenever the items are removed, they are still there. I have tried to remove it quite a bit, it will not stay gone. And its not like it restores after reboot. It is instantly restored, always there, and never removed.

You might want to try deleting your recycle bin.
    1. Set your folder options to "Hide protected system operating files = false" etc. etc.
    2. Open up your C:\ drive and find the folder named "RECYCLE" or "RECYCLER"
    3. Back it up to a totally random name and put it out of the way
    4. Delete the original
    5. Restart your computer - Windows should automatically recreate it. Theoretically, it will be empty.

And if it doesn't come back because your computer is really screwed, use your backup :P.

    Good luck!
