Sup guys, I use Camtasia to record my screen, and the quality is very good as it should be when i've saved the clip right after recording (.avi, uncompressed i think) but the problem is, by not converting this file, it gets huuuuuuuge and that will keep people away from downloading my tutorial. I've tried to use Sony Vegas 7 (latest) to convert those to .avi , .wmv and .mpg.

By converting the file to any of those in vegas, makes the filesize completely perfect but it makes the quality terrible and not watchable.

please tell me what to do, maybe i should i another program? or is there a special convert program that makes the video stay in the same quality as before the converting etc.

help me out lads, i seriously need to know.

no it doesn't matter if it's either .wmv .mpg or .avi.

yeh i have camatasia too, i usually use either my divx codec to encode and decode or the standarf tech smith camatasia codec, after it gets processed you can manually save it as a flash file or wmv which make it much smaller and you can manually size down the dimensionof the video making it much smaller. I can litterally get a good quality around 19 mb's for a 15 min clip.
