Where the hell are they getting all the money from?

They've signed Kaka and Ronaldo, and plan on getting Villa next.

    I wanted Villa damnit.
They're making an absolute killing selling TV rights to China etc., that and the way the club is owned and ran means they've got tons of money to throw around.

It is primarily TV rights, along with the usual merchandising and ticket sales.

    They're not getting Alonso!

It's a leading European club yea?. So they must get a ---- load of revenue from supporters/sponsors and all that.

Ronaldo's a tool; Talented, but ultimately a tool. At least Rooney can do his thing now as a striker.

Wonder if Becks and Ronaldo will start some kind of metrosexual club out in Madrid now.

They're trying to hard to create a new galacticos team. And the sad thing is, is that these player's careers will die in Real Madrid. Just look at Zidane, Figo, Beckham and all the great players they ruined.

It's definetely not from sponsorship, United, Liverpool, even Barca don't bring in that kind of revenue via sponsorship deals.

I think United really do need to bring in a good striker winger for the new season, Ronaldo may have been a child but there's no denying that he's an amazing footballer. Due to the 80M Tevez might be salvageable, but, they're an entirely different player. (And United has debts to pay)

Not sure the player's will die out though, if they can keep up the spending spree, it's going to be basically...a good Manchester City (Who must be pissed off right now).

I agree with you to an extent, but they weren't exactly in their prime were they?. Zidane, Figo, and Beckham were/are in their 30s when playing for Madrid.

That's true. But it doesn't mean anything to have a team full of superstars... it's chemistry that matters. Real Madrid fans can be happy all they want, but when it comes down to chemistry amongst the players, there will be very little. Besides, Barca will most likely take La Liga in the 2009-2010 season.

What are they going to do with all the other players they bought? Bench them as usual, lowering their market value and eventually just making them crappy players when they do play.
