This is what Michael Berg. Michael Berg his son, Nick Berg, got beheaded in Iraq BY al-Zarqawi :

"Well, my reaction is I'm sorry whenever any human being dies. Zarqawi is a human being. He has a family who are reacting just as my family reacted when Nick was killed, and I feel bad for that."

"I feel doubly bad, though, because Zarqawi is also a political figure, and his death will re-ignite yet another wave of revenge"

    OMFG !

WTF IS WRONG WITH HIM !?

Would you react the same way if your son was beheaded ?

I can't believe he didn't say something like : "Great, hopefully he died slowly"

How in the living ---- could you feel sorry for Zarqawi, especially after sawing off your dad's head? I would've loved to be there when Zarqawi died, so I could spit in his face.

I admire him for being able to forgive the man who commited such a crime against his family. I admit it is alittle odd, but he is right that Zarqawi was a man like everyone else. I agree, though, that he deserved to die for the lives he'd taken. And to the poster above, the person being interviewed is the father, his son was killed.

Yes he is still a man whether you like it or not. Everyone commits sin, the only thing different about him is that the sins he did was the most cruel and worst sins possible.

How is that having no respect for his son? If he said something like 'I'm glad my son is gone, he was always a pain' then that is having no respect for his son. But for getting over his sons death and forgiving the killer after 3 YEARS!!!. It's not liek it was 2 days later. Wold you prefer that this man would suffer through the pain of his loss for the rest of his life? He'sa bigger man then you will ever know. To forgive someone of the murder of your children is a strength a have never personally seen. He forgave him for the murder, it's not like he was having coffee with the guy every Tuesday. Maybe you would rather see this poor amn suffer over the pain fo the loss of his son for the rest fo the days, but I highly admire his courage and strength to forgive this man of such an atrocious crime.

Also, to your comment about not being 'human' let's do a cross comparison of him to,let's say, me(last time I checked I was human)
    Born from a mother-Check
    Same Vital Organs-Check
    10 Fingers and Toes-Check
    Blood In His Veins-Check
    Ability To Die-Check
Wow....alot of major signs there, soyes I'd say he's a man. A cruel and sick man who most certaintly deservd his fate, I agree but a man none the less, just like all the worlds criminals.
