Re: Forum / Load Time

Ok, I know this forum gets a S.hit load of people!

But! Is there anyway, at all we can get this forum to load faster? Like, get it on a double xeon server box, or something? Cause, it seems like this forum is on a p3, or p4... and its loading pretty slow.

same here it takes me about 10 mins to load the site

 

It may seem slow but that is only due to the amount of ppl on the forums, just think...at peak times there can be in excess of 350 ppl on these forums easily, its a lot for any server to handle....even a dual xeon.

 

That means they need more money. :lol:

It loads ok for me, you might just have a crappy connection.

 

no its been taking forever for me too lately but then again there like 20k members

 

yeh, it loads perfectly quickly for me.

 

Loads VERY slow for me and I am on a 4500kbs cable connection.

not the best but not bad either...

 

loading fine for me, and my gaming site which can have on it 400+ players on at one time runs smooth to, so if they need a good host, my gaming sites got a good one.

Anyways, it is a porblem when theres 200 + members on at a time, and I would really appriciate it is llamaman trys to get something done to fix it. Cause, I limit my time here when it does not load. Its just stupid (no offense) to take 5 minutes to load 1 post with 3 replys on it.

 

Nah just saying my game sites got a good host if you want more info contact me.

yea it go's extremly slow,well not that slow...maybe 5-10 secs

 

It's a bit slow for me in the morning (EST) but by noon and later, everything is smooth. It loads about as fast as Google. And Google is probably the simplest site I've ever seen.
