^No, it doesn't. Generally speaking, doing so produces good results, but for something to look good, the background doesn't have to match with anything.

I like to try out new stuff, since I got bored with the usual "add render, duplicate the hell out of it, blur the hell out of all of the duplicates, add random brushes, add random blending modes and color modifications, at random text, add diagonal lines, add random filters, add random lines here and there" approach.

rated wrong sigs (@coma u rock) fable sig = a bit empty, nice bg tho 7/10 samus sig = it loox like the render doesnt belong there...the white fades make it look pasted 6/10 (the bg rox work more on that one) the photomanip = Loox cool 8/10
I only commented once on the criticism on my sigs. Try telling that to inspirationTOOLs (or whatever his name is), who was whining about every single crit his graphics received. Anyway, both of them were modeled in 3d. The first one took literally like 5 minutes to make because I just beveled/extruded a box randomly. As far as your work goes: On the top one I don't like the render that much (I said it on someone else's sig too), and IMO it's just a little too bright. <_< The second one is better, but that white smoke-type thing you got going on kinda takes away from the potential the sig has. The last one is the best aesthetics-wise, but there's still something off-tune about it. Too blurry? I dunno. Can't quite get my finger on it. Nice stuff anyway. EDIT: This rating was directed at tipio (I'm not adding all those random dots in between ).
@coma 5 minutes? they were worth it, vnice design the ring is not so nice, something makes it look amatuer, it doesnt flow as a whole. like ur stuff 9/10
