allright i wanna play some counter strike source and day of defeat source cuz i heard they are nub lolz... soooo how good is it? should i get a better one? EDIT WOOOOOOOOT 4000TH POST!!!
4/10, acceptable for very old games and that's about it. it's technically not even a card, just a chip on the motherboard.
I don't really know, never seen any video cards named anything close to that, i think you might have an on bord card, if that is the case, get a new one.
yea um i dont know wtf but i bought it at staples... in the flyer it said geforce 4 so i bought it and it was like integrated card and i was like wtf
Xelink is correct, it is just a chip on your motherboard not an actual card. You can expect to get around 100FPS on CS 1.6 or any contemporary games @ 60Hz refresh rate. Or you could play any games on the Source Engine or contemporary with about 20FPS @ 60Hz refresh rate. So I would say yes, you need a new card to play those games. Your next step is to determine whether you have PCI-E slots or AGP slots. -bLiNd EDIT: Just saw your reply to the upper thread. You need to re-read how to install the nVidia card. You must first delete the drivers for your Integrated Intel and then boot up and let the new nVidia card do the rest. I'm not familiar with the Geforce 4, not sure if thats the 4k series or what. I can't provide any benchmarks for that. -bLiNd
Download http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php and run it, no instalation Go to the motherboard tab. At the bottom where it says graphical interface tell us if it says AGP, PCI or PCI-E (PCI-Express)
Hehe.... Common, I think I will give it a 4/10. That is bad... if you want to, lets compare, shall we? Yes, get another one. LMAO
You will have to let us know how it turns out, the performance increase. I don't think i would get cross fire yet as its not as tested as SLi.
Go here: http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest Select the game you wanna play, see how your entire system is for it
Actually, Crossfire is rated better than SLi... because the system doesn't decrease like SLi does. It actually does what it is supposed to do. I am not too sure why I would need a Cross yet though, nor do I know if I am going to get one. Because, my one card alone has as much memory as most of your computers do, if not, then I have half. I am running 2GB of RAM right now and sometimes I run 4... so I think I will be okay.
i wouldnt recommend playing cs with it cuz u can feel the lag. I have my temporary card in my system now cuz i sold my 6800gt and bought a 7600gt and its still in the mail and whenever i play cs with my mx400 it SUCKS
