I was thinking of upgrading my PC and want to decide what I should upgrade first/instead.

My Current Video Card: x300SE 128MB
My Current RAM: DDR2 512MB ~200MHZ in speed.

I can either upgrade my Video Card to x1950Pro (+ a power supply)
    OR
I can upgrade to 2 gigs of RAM at 667mHZ.

Which Should I do instead or first?

I really am looking for the best performance upgrade on my Gaming. I currently get avg 50FPS in CS:S and thats the game Im hoping to get a nice boost on (but on others too).

But If anyone can help and list the pros and cons for upgrading each that would help alot.

    Thanks :)

GPU- Makes pixels look a lot cleaner, and all that stuff, downloads textures quicker and what not.

RAM- Makes things go faster, slight FPS increase.

i'd get the gpu, just try to close some programs if you're lagging when playing CSS

I'd take the RAM upgrade. FYI you'de still be lagging in gaems even with a good card with so little RAM.

FYI DDR1 RAM is incompatible with DDR2 and chances are you have DDR1-400 (real speed of 200Mhz) and FYI DDR2-667 has a real clock of 333mhz. DDR is double pumped(double data rate) data is sent twice per Hz.

there are notably better PSus out there for $40. Atleast in the US. He's in canada FYI.

EDIT: CSS doesn't need a ton of RAM if that's the only thing you're going for, go for the card.
