Geforce makes some of the best gamign Cards out there the 6800 GT 6800 Ultra all really good and the people at Attack Of The Show on G4 are using a 7800Gt or ultra or osmething but i knwo they are using a Geforce
i have a 9800pro but now i say geforce b/c the 7800GTX IS OUT W00T W00T ROXIRZ MY SOXORZ!!!11!1111ONE11!1!
Nvidia cards are much, much better at displaying vcetor graphics, thats why they are kicking so much a-- in BF2 right now. ATI cards are just not as good in that department. I have ATI cards in my laptop and desktop, but im not all that pleased. Im gonna switch to Nvidia next time around.
I run halflife 2 on a 9200 on high settings without any problems. guess it somewhat depends on the rest of the comp
ati radeon sucks ass _o_ atleast the one i have (Ati Radeon 9200) first i had a geforce 2, i could run halo 1 smoothly... then i got the ati 9200 (which should be better) but often when i played halo, my whole comp just crashed and i got a ----ing blue screen... secondly, i cant play GTA: SA, everything is just wrong, cars ride through trains and all that ----, i cant even see the ppl who are supposed to walk around, or atleast... i can only see some lines around them, but i can see right through them =/ i never had that with GTA: VC, but when i played that i still had my geforce, im curious if i also have the same probs with VC if i play it with my ati
I use Nvidia only now, all the ATI I've used were crap. But also remember it's personal preference, kinda like AMD vs. Intel, Ford vs. Chevy.
I have a 6600GT and I'm pretty sure my computer likes nVidia a lot more (theres a bunch of logos inside, not just on the video card either heh). I want to buy a 7800 for when Oblivion comes out, and I'm going to be waiting as long as possible.
right now nvidia is killing ati because of their new card and sli, however ati is releasing it's version of sli, which they call crossfire ati's crossfire actually has more modes of utilizing dual cards that may make it better in the future, but as of right now they don't have anything to compete with nvidia. wait until the r5 series comes out to make a good comparison
