There is no "best"; each piece of typography should fit the piece it was created for. A couple things to keep in mind though.

-Limit the number of typefaces in a piece, and it's generally better to keep them in one area. The eye is atracted to text as it is a recognizable symbol, putting too many typefaces in a piece creates too many foci and can kill your flow faster than anything.

-Keep in mind the placement of your typo. Generally cornering it is a bad idea because it becomes an eye trap, but you don't want to put it right on the focus either b/c that would take away from the stock or render. Carefull placement is key as it can do anything from directing flow to balancing out a piece.

-Pick a font that fits the piece, if it's an elaborate piece an elaborate typo might be appropriate. If you're unsure about what font to use, choose a simple easilly recognizable one. Generally sans-serif fonts such as arial, helvetica, or avante garde work well with most things.

-"When in doubt, leave it out." Someone wiser than I said it. Not every piece needs typo. Great typography can add alot to a piece, but a poor typo can hurt it just as much. If you don't feel that it adds somthing to the piece, leave it out.

I realize the advice is rather general, but typography isn't really somthing that can be taught in a tutorial, it's just learned as one goes. Keep practicing, don't be afraid to try new things, and you'll improve at your own pace.
