    Heya,

I dun wanna buy a computer from store 'cause they always suck one way or another... now I do have a VIDEO CARD it's a x1950pro (which is probably pretty crappy by now)

This is what I have so far:

    1- I am a NEWBIE!!!
2- I am on a relatively low budget
3- Is the video card that I own compatible with the parts I choose - if not what would you recommend
4- Did the parts I choose fit together?
    5- Are they any good?

I know I am missing some stuff... what else am I missing and can you recommend me one if you know one of your head?

wow at the barebone .. well depends it looks like your budget is in the region of around $1000 - 4gb memory for a low budget is alot :D I would go for this .. since i wasnt impressed of the current one you chosen since the noise level is very loud of 49 odd db .. quite alot - My GoldenOrbII produces around 18db and sometimes gets a tad annoying lol in a silent room but cools it very well due to the amount of air flow going through the heatsink

alternative that i would get if i was buying it ... (i just l ike thermaltake products since they work very well) :)

not sure about ur graphics card since there is AGP and PCI-e versions .. if its PCI-e then it will work on the motherboad if it isnt then you need a new one :)

    everything else seems fine ..

    you got ..

    -PSU
    -Memory
    -CPU
    -Motherboard
    -Case
-Graphics Card (unsure if its PCI-e - You need to find out)
    -DVDRW

    thats about it really :)

One problem people told me that the power supply is too weak for the quod core that im running so what power supply do you suggest instead. He called it "that's a server rackmount HSF, won't work for quad core ".

    Thank You

    barebone looks fine.
PSU is ------- iffy(but only because I'm a stability ftreak), but probably more than sufficient and decent overall

RAM= overkill. If you're not using the RAM it's going to waste. Crysis, the most demanding of games ever doesn't even really need 2GB RAM, after playing it a bit I saw RAM usage for it at around 1.3GB.
better(performance wise) and cheaper RAM(you can always get more if you need it FYI)

2GB SHOULD BE ENOUGH, if not, then you can always buy more. By the time you need 8GB you would need a new set of everything else. I'm saying this form first hand experience. I noticed a 0% performance gain going from 2GB to 4Gb and I'm a multitasker who never closes anything.

also no graphics card= no video display...

the two cards to get right now are the Radeon HD3870 and the GeForce 8800GT. both should be close in terms of performance

also F' paying an extra $70 for ultimate, complete rip off. just get premium.
