I will probably be getting a PS3 but not an Xbox360. Both of the sytems are overpriced and they seem kind of unnecessary if you only do pc gaming and have a top of the line pc. I may just end up keeping my PS2.
PS3 wont be out until mid-late 2006 at the earliest. I'll get one at launch, since I know a few guys who can hold one for me. It's riskier to buy the first wave, but to be honest, I bought my PS2 on launch day, and I have never had a problem. If I do get a bugged one, I'll just return it and/or wait for another one a few months later.
I'll buy one along with my copy of ff13. Bought a ps2 just so I can play ff9, might as well continue the trend.
I'm getting one for sure, I'm still believing that a lot of the gametrailers aren't pre-renderd, like when they went through the UT 2007 scene in realtime. They have demonstrated the cel power on video editing (making it proces multiple mpg's at once, snapshotting every scene and resizing it into preview format) If not fake, it should be able to handle similar gameplay and graphics at the same time. Might seem a bit of a fanboy-ish explanation. But if Ps2 can handle high-end pc like graphics only due to the fact it's not running backgrounds, Ps3 should be capable of some sweet things.
I'll be getting one Hopefully FFXII and MGS4 will be released around the time of launch! That would be nice. As for release dates, my guess is Christmas '06. I've heard as early as March (in time for E3) but I don't think it will be released then. I'll be getting it at launch like I did the 360.
I might, once it gets cheaper and if they show anything instead of powers, multimedia, and graphics would appeal to me.
Not at all.. Final Fantasy is being released to Xbox360, there is no other reason to get a PS3.. especially if it has half of the gfx memory that the 360 has
the system looks great on the mgs4 trailer(which was proven real time gameplay) but the cell processor is going to be to complex. Every ones comlaining about the 360 defects(which in the history of most consoles it has had the least defects) the cell processor is so experimental theres no telling how many problems its going to have. I just think sonys trying just a little to hard to cram all it can into 1 machine just to beat the 360. Itll cost a couple of organs to
Only FFXI will be out on 360 because of the online gameplay. The rest of the FF games won't be released on 360. Do your homework next time
I played the X-BOX 360 today and the graphics are hot! I played King Kong and was just blown away, it felt like a was watching a cut scene or a movie but with me controlling everything. Still gonna wait for the PS3 to come out though as the game on that will most probably appeal to me, e.g Final Fantasy titles.
