i really cant tell to much of a difference and noone can really say anything about the gfx yet because many many many things could be improved upon before each console comes out. And i need to argue that ps2 had better gameplay than xbox, if you ask me i really dont think so. I really think that they both had about the same. I hated the controls for every game on PS2 because the controllers buttons. I HATE HATE HATE controllers without the usual b a x y buttons. Personally i think that ps2 games are kinda the same thing just with different things slapped on each game. Come on somebody will flame this and i know it, not that this is an invitation or nething.
I want both. I think they will both be good consoles. I'm getting XBOX 360 first because it comes out first. Some awesome games for it are: Halo 3, Gears of War, Quake 4, Unreal Tournament 2007, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and more. Some good games for PS3 are: Killzone 2 ( I still say it was pre-rendered some atleast), Devil May Cry 4, Metal Gear Solid 4, and MAYBE a remake of Final Fantasy VII. I agree on the Chrono Trigger thing it is still one of the greatest RPGs ever made!!! I hate how people are saying PS3 is going to have better graphics... I think they will both be about equal. XBOX 360 was only running at 30% performance at E3. It's too early to judge but overall I think XBOX 360 and PS3 will both be good consoles. I think Nintendos Revolution looks pretty cool too. BTW I'm very glad to see we don't have any fanboys on this forum that complain about how the system they like is so much better than all the others. It comes down to what games you like.... none of the systems are better than the others its what the games have in them... not how good the graphics are or how good of a pixel shader it has or how much MGHz is in the thing.
PS3 will loose the war since Ken Kutaragi confirmed that there will be no HDD for PS3 and that really sucks cuz If you have a chipped Xbox with an 200GB HDD like I do you know how you can get the most out of your machine! PS3 telling they will have some online databases to use for saving so people dont have to buy memory cards but they havnt spoken anything about if this thing will cost any money... And also having your saves online isnt the best thins since everything online experience some connection problems at some time in their lifespand....also it will require broadband, and not every person have that.
I think PS3 will be better as Sony can always get makers to make more attractive and better games for its console.
The gameplay for the PS2 games have been great, a lot better then thoes of the Xbox games.But if sony doesnt get its ---- in a group, it will lose the consol war to the Xbox360. Also, Super mario World for the SNES was the best game ever made.
i'd probably get the xbox 360 because i'm not really a sony fan. but the ps3's controller is UGLY but the CPU thing is really good. but xbox 360 wins out on games and graphics and that's all that matters to me
well..... I guess It will be the same as PS2 and Xbox.... coz there was some differances between them but the PS2 has alot of Games compared with the Xbox ones and the Xbox has A greater mem and a better preformance than PS2. So ..... I guess it will be the same here as well Between PS3 and Xbox 360 thats what I think of.......
they havnt said there would be no HD...but they never said there would be...its still up in the air...i think they know that a HD would be a major selling point and will include one...and as for those who say the gfx are about equal...they are not...the ps3 GPU is far more advanced and can make a much more detailed and beautful image then the one of the 360...its very hard to judge but just SS's and video's...but when u would get in game...u would notice far more details on an ps3 GPU compared to a 360 GPU...and thats just because of the raw power of both CELL and the RSX...plus blueray disks are huge...they will be able to put massive amounts of info onto them so as to be able to get insane amounts of detail into the games EDIT: to all u ppl that keep saying the stuff on PS3 was pre-rendered "The "other companies" to which Kutaragi is referring apparently aren't making PS3 games.
