It's been proven that the PS3 will be twice as strong as the XBO60 and 35 times stronger then the PS2 Clear choice for me..
Overall the 360 is better so far, but since the release dates are so far from eachother.... The ps3 could omprove in many ways until its release date.
^^^^ i dont agree...ps3 has 2x the power of a 360...and better GFX and GPU...so i dont see how its better at all....
Proven?! Hahaha you got to be kidding me, so you actually say what the prez of Sony said about its specs THAT AREN'T EVEN COMPLETE YET! and lied to impress media is true? Lol if you actually believed that well you're very naive. They did just like M$ did, lie about they're specs to impress. I bet once its out they will prove it's only in fact 3 to 4 times stronger. Also you must take into consideration both company's specs are favorable for graphics but lower down major gameplay factors such as AI. Face it, the next-gen will suck, they will be super computers with CGI style graphics with very very poor creativity and gameplay. Go Nintendo for their total backwards compability I want Chrono Trigger!

Yeah, it actualy has been proved, just look at the vid for this FFVII tech trailer from gamespot: http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/rpg/finalfanta...ps31_051605.asx (This video was created by Square Enix to show how good graphics the games have) And then try and find a Xbox360 game with better graphics. Good Luck
On every magazine I read, it says the ps3 is at least a 2x as fast as the xbox 2. So my vote goes for the ps3, although xbox 2 looks like it will have better games. For example, perfect dark 0, halo 3, ut2007.

They will lose gameplay value with their specs since they are made for the graphics so its impossible for it to be 35x stronger. Also how the hell can you show how much powerful it is just by looking at it? Lastly, they were pre-rendered using high quality computer software. Nvidia said it themselves. They even said it wouldn't be as good, close, but not as good.
---- graphics. ---- technology. Its about the games. 360: Halo 3, Gears of War PS3: MGS4, Devil May Cry 4, Killzone 2 (---- yes!) and so on. Way more top quality games are gonna be avaliable for the PS3 than the 360, thats the failure of the box - that all it had was Halo, it was ----ing lucky, then they ----ed Halo 2 so like yeah...
The games will be gigantic anyway, think like this; they will be using Blue-Ray technology which is that you can add over 200GB to 1 Blue-ray CD (which can if they fill it all give up to atleast 300 hours of gaming.) So if they use this technique to 100% then they can make nearly impossible games or games that everyone will spend weeks and weeks to finish, even if they are pro in the genre. If they don't make the games giganticly huge then they could focus on storyline, gameplay and everything else to create the best games ever.

Also because of the graphics, which is the purpose of both the consoles, games will barely last 10 hours and will use the rest of the space to enhance the graphics.
you guys are going off of articles. all articles at this time are extremely bias. the only way to find out for sure is wait until you get to test both.

People won't get bored if the game is actually GOOD, which is the whole point. Also on the fact that making really long games like so will take alot of time during development..it doesn't matter, as long as the finished product is good. This whole thing about graphics and power needs to be dropped. Yes the graphics and all that have to be decent, up to a point. But that isn't, and shouldn't be the point of focus. Although some of the games will be take months and months longer to make then they do now, the finished product better be worth the new price they are trying to slap on video games. That's another thing, I don't appreciate this new 60$-70$ we are going to have to pay for one game. As far as I'm concerned the next-gen consoles will be a waste of time for a while unless you are a junkie that enjoys better graphics then gameplay. For now though I'll stick to the 'bit more popular' PC gaming world.
