Playstation Magazine has named the PS3 has having quite a low price: $399 in the U.S., €322 in Europe and ¥45,965 in Japan. These are the other info stated in the PSM: PS3's 60GB non-removable hard drive as standard. will have backward compatibility, that PSX/PS1 and PS2 games will run on the PlayStation 3 in 720, 1080i and 1080p. all PS3 games will be in the Blu-ray format, and will have no region lockouts. the launch line-up and final design of the PS3's controller will be released at the E3 gaming expo in May.
also you don't need an hdtv to play hd gaming on the ps3! which saves alot of people money! and yes it can play bluerays in your old tv!
Dude, did they lower for more buyerS? Because I bet.. all 360 players will buy this.. come on, did you see the previews of the game
400? Pricey but not as pricy as i thought it would be. Figured it would be around 900. Not too bad i guess...
900 is a little farfetched there man, but ive already preorded mine with some help through gamestop since i know the district manager, i get first dibs
by then you could get a 7800GTX or 7900GT for well under 400 bucks and have a more powerful gaming system... nVidia's custom GFX card for the PS3 turned out to be the same name of the 7800GTX received in windows vista testing... makes you think doesn't it. I'm not dropping 400 bucks on a system with a card which has been out for 2 + years.
that and the fact that imo it's just not worth it to shell out $400 for a gaming system.....that's just a ---- load of money maybe when it cuts price
by which time you could buy that 200-250$ gfx card for 100...a GFX card uquivilent to those in the Xboxes right now is only something like 30-70 bucks.
