If this is official it doesn't really surprise me. They've probably seen the pre-sales of the 360 and decided not to compete directly.
Let XBox control the market for now. Isn't the PS2 sufficient anyways? By making you wait longer for the PS2, Sony is milking the PS2 for all it has, and plus, increases the life of a PS2 instead of shortening it by rushing to compete with Microsoft. When the PS3 DOES come out, it'll surely control the market. There won't be any XBox 360 hype or a Nintendo Revolution hype (my speculation, at least). They'll have the market all to themselves, and if they do it right, their gains on it will be far greater than that of Microsoft's.
By the time PS3 Comes out, it'll already be time for Xbox 540.. Which is double the gfx level of PS3.. Weird lol.
first off i dont believe it, second of all, this is about Europe, it doesnt even have anything to do with the American release, which will be much earlier... think PSP. It came here about 6 months before getting to Europe, so figure about 6 months difference in this article, and zam, its coming out in fall, just as suspected.
