Does any one know what this means?

Error in file: C:\System Volume Information\_restore{82236178-BD33-415A-B31C-2AED566F5144}\RP67\SNAPSHOT\_REGISTERY_MACHINE_SYS TEM

I get that when I try to defragment.

.. hmm infact that item is something to do with system restore.

    1. Try disabling and renabling system restore (<<< warning this will delete your current system restore states).
    2. Its possible that u previously had a virus and it remains in ur system restore files.. in which case its recommend u disable n renable it.
    3. The file is not able to be defraged.. in which case the program should ignore it.

That may be your percise problem. If your Hdd is going bad, backup all you can and put it on a new Hdd.

Have you done a spy/ad-ware test on your computer? or a virus scan? You may be one of millions that get adware, spyware, or viruses...

Try getting Search and Destroy and HijackThis for spyware

and Avast Home Edition for viruses

thanks, I just ran hijack this about 3 days ago, and i dled spybot SD yesterday. I have AVG, and have ran that a few times in the past day.

Yeah, im assuming HDD stands for harddrive? it so, i'm planning on getting one....does any one know a good deal for about 100-110 US Dollars? Internal or external, idc, preferably atleast 60, but hopfully 80.

I'll try the system restore thing right now :)

EDIT: I can't find out how to enable\disable system restore...can any one help me with that?

When u say enable/disable u mean do a system restore and undo one?

    Go to Start--.All Programs-->Accessories-->System Tools-->System Restore

And follow the steps there. After ur cpu reboots it give u the option to undo the system restore then.

    try at pricewatch.com

Earlier last year, they had a deal for a 80gb drive for only $50. they have both internal and external, Eide and (S)ATA drives.

Yea, hdd actually stands for hard disk drive, but you got the right idea...
