What IS Proxy anyways? I've seen it so much, but I never saw it being used anywhere. Is it like this old way of doing networks? If so, why is it on XP when no one I know uses it? Just crossed my mind, heard of it so much, what the hell is it?!
Im not really sure what all it can be used for, but i do know 1 thing. Well you can get add a proxy to your web browser's internet settings and then when ever you connect to the internet it uses that proxy. Doing this basicly 'masks' your IP address. That can be very usefull if you got IP banned from a site or something and still want to visit it.
