First of all I understand that rules are rules and we should abid by them. BUT when the rules are going to be constanly changing or fluctuating then are we expected to read the rules everyday? I lived with my suspension but now finding a warn is very frustrating. I have kept my noice clean for what .. 3,570/3,571 posts I made, and the bad one was for posting in a forum that I shouldn't have posted in. Too bad Hydro informed us of the rule change after i was suspended.

It will be removed in time. We have also changed some policies about informing members when we change the rules. That way people will be informed in multiple ways of every rule change.

i think some rules are gay, like posting in the rep / ripper forum gives a 2 day suspension and 100 credits taken from u.. i think the 2 day suspension and the 100 creds too.. but i understand its needed but i think if u make a helping post it should be leaving alone but if you make a spam post you can take action ( sorry for the bad englsh
and the mods are giving too quick suspensions and bans

they ban the nice ppl :(

thats wy i dont rly post here anymore

the rules regarding the rep abuse and rip and scammer forum are ridiculous. You can get a 2 day suspension for helping out. The rules should be changed to something like any posts not contributing or helping the topic should get a fine. Not a suspension. Plus you then go and change it without telling everyone. I had to PM logic and ask her about the rule changes. You can't just change the rules and not tell anyone then expect them to accept any punishment.

Think about if there wasn't these rules people there would be chaos and we don't want that do we, Game Renders is a great place and i think the staff are doing a great job.

Why are they ridiculous? It clearly states if you have something to add to the thread, to PM a mod. Everyone thinks that their comments are supposed to be there, and people dont follow the rules for the forum, so they keep changing.

As for notifying members, we have a new policy to inform everyone in multiple ways when rules change so everyone will be informed they have changed.

ok well i havent read the rules saying about pming a mod, still though

What policys that, waiting until they've broken it and then slapping them with a suspension and fine. Then tell them you can't do that anymore. Any rule changes should be posted up as soon as they are added to the list.

i can understand the fining of people for posting in certain sections but a suspension is a little harsh

We are going to mass PM members as well as post it in the news section. 2 places for everyone to see.

If you didnt know about the PM a mod rule, then you should go back and re-read the rules. In has been there for months.

no there wouldnt be...it used to be fine without this rule, and there was nothing wrong, but...then the mods made it 'dont post unless its helpful or you get a fine' wich i was fine with....thhhen they made it 50 creds for ANY post, wich i hated....then 100 and a suspension....its rediculous.
but dont get me wrong, staff are doing great.

AND they never even included the warn in the rules topic, or the latest news topic.
ahh, ive been hopeing you guys would use the mass pm to tell about rules :P

Why not just make it to where if you are ripped or scammed you PM a mod. Because "Mods" are semi active anyway. That would then lessen what you Mods and Admins call "Spam".

Its entirely my fault that the new rule wasnt posted, I take full responsibility for that. I'm not perfect after all, and it slipped my mind, as I have had alot going on here lately. I apologize for those of you that it upset. However, to be perfectly honest, people shouldn't have been posting there anyways, unless involved, its been in the rules for some time anyways, at least for the ripper section.

As Hydrogen mentioned, we are going to mass pm, as well as post any changes from now on as soon as they happen. And again I apologize for forgetting to post about the updates.

As for making the rules more strict, we basically had to. People couldn't be arsed to follow the rule before, because the punishment wasn't causing them much of a substantial lost. Now, with the fine, and the 2 day suspension, people are actually following the rule. Thats all we wanted, was for people to follow the rule. Had they done so, we would have never raised the stakes.

There should be a PM that is sent to everyone..like a mass PM when there is a new rule or a changed rule....I just got a new warning level and a link in my signature reading "I Don't Read New Rules" Like it's making fun of me....i thought people here weren't allowed to make fun of people and that itself reulted in a warn...I don't think I deserved this warn..I mean honostly...the rules change so much...and some of them...in my opinnion...don't make much sense.....

That new advertising rule has been up for a few weeks now, I'd say that's more than enough time to get caught up.
