Ok all you guys are saying sounds great, except one problem. I don't want to lose weight. I have a fast metabolism or however you spell it and I am skinny. And the cutting out soda thing won't do anything good for me. Trust me, last summer I didn't work out at all and drank at least 2 sodas a day and didn't gain one pound. Now I work out almost every day and still drink soda and I can tell a difference, but I want to see more of a difference and see what your opinions are on how I can do that. So what I'm asking is, how can I get BIGGER? I don't want to get more cut, I only have about 5% body fat so I'm not too worried about not being cut. I just want to be bigger, I don't care if I'm huge since I'm only 5'5 118 lbs right now.

Eat more calories than you burn off, only way to gain.
Like I said, it's going to take a LONG TIME. You have 5% body fat? Holy ----. That's unhealthy :/ Not to be rude or anything.. but do your parents feed you at all? Or are you an anorexic type? Anyways, like I said, eat like a pig, but don't forget to workout. Get like 3000+ calories a day. After a half year of hard work and eating you'll be alot bigger :D

many of the professional bodybuilders start when their bodies are near their natural peak. If you weight 210lbs with 5% bodyfat and are 5'10, you won't be getting much further without steroids or HGH, most of your bodies hormones would just go simply towards mantaining what you already have and training might even be somewhat detrimental as you would be injuring massive amounts of muscle all at once without the means to improve and generate anymore. I however am nowhere NEAR that point and it's rather stupid to take steroids before your a year or two past full maturation as there ARE permanent effects if taken while your body is still developing. Also, it's rather stupid to do steroids without putting in a few years of research. I have put in 0 years worth of extensive research into the actual proper use and the metabolic processes of steroids hence I will not be using them.

see that's the diference between them and me, I power lift and after I get good strength I'm going to concentrate on density and endurance and I won't go any further(atleast in size) and will just aim to mantain. The moment lifting goes too far is when it is no longer healthy.

Most of the kids at my school who are 150-160 can bench over 215 without the use of protein supplements. I myself am not exactly a small guy, but i rarely work out. I do alot of standard stuff like push ups, running, sit ups, etc. throughout the day sincei m home all day (expelled). Just doing things around the house can bulk you up. Like groceries. When your mom goes grocery shopping for like $150-200 worth, try and lift as many bags as you can at one time and when your bringing them into the house lift em up like your doing curls or hold your arms far out. Find heavy stuff around your house you can work with that isnt awkward. I seriously think the old school push ups, situps, pull ups (i have a pull up bar in my bedroom door frame), and jogging/running is the best workout you can do to keep your body in shape and not overwork it.

I used to take protein supplements (moreso illegal than legal, aka steroids) and I bulked from about 180 to 230, also my bench increased from about 250 max (at 180) to about 370-something max (forgot exact weights) at 230. BUt I found after getting off of the supplements and letting my body get worked up I could easily lift that and more, just not as quickly into the workout. Currently I am 250 and im lifting about a 315 average when I go out after about 15 minutes of working up to it. My max was somewhere in the high 300s (380ish i think) right now. But I also have to keep in mind I took steroids before and during puberty, so I wasnt fully matured at that point, so more than likely my growth stages after I stopped made up for the effect the steroids had on my body.

Supplements really do nothing IMO, they are simply there for purely physcial reasons. They make you look bigger, and most steroids just add lots of water weight to your body (yes, those muscles on the body builders are often purely muscles filled with water). The only "supplement" you should take is if you for some reason cant afford regular sources of protein, like meats or beans and the pills happen to be cheaper for you (which is an extremely unlikely situation).

In short, you dont really need to change your diet, just dont overwork your body. It takes a long time for people to be able to stress their bodies enough to be naturally ripped. Start off with something thats not hard, but makes you sweat pretty hard after an hour, slowly work your way up to starting to sweat 5-10 minutes into the workout and do that for 45 minutes-1 hour. Give it a month and youll start seeing a few results.

Personally I cant stress just how much a traditional 3 meal a day diet with some dietary pills help (not illegal dietary stuff, but be sure to keep your body healthy, take Vita C, Calcium, etc.). Just wake up in the morning, throw on a sweat shirt, some sweat pants, an under armor shirt under your shirt, some comfy sneakers and go for a job/run in the moning for 30-45 minutes before you would normally wake up to go to school, that way you get home, take a shower, and then you can even do low stress required stength lifting and eventually your body will tone itself.
