    Look at it this way

    American Society:
A lot of drugs, murder, schools constantly looking for funds, stupid president. You hardly ever see a peaceful news story on tv. It's always something about a terrorist attack or someone being kidnapped, or a mother killing her children.

Asia: Strict parents, in some parts parents will not allow kids to work because they HAVE to have school as their first priority (learned this from my history teacher who lived in korea for a bit), over there your lifestyle revolves around school.

So here in America your parents are screaming "they took our jobs." While their kids are out with their friends doing pot. Yet they wonder why they took their jobs.

I am originally from Bosnia, what Americans consider a third world country. While I lived in Bosnia we were in a war trying to force our invaders out. The main Priority was school. This was primary school and we only went there from 12:00 - 4:00 because we shared the school with Secondary student who attended it from 8:00 - 12:00. But even with the bombings, 4 hours of school in which we were fead a small loaf of bread similar to a long hot dog bun our education level was higher. When we moved here my older brother and sister who were in 7th and 8th were moved up a grade. Since I was only in 2nd I wasn't.

So just continue wondering why Americans are considered a third world country when it comes to education. The "asians" how you say it take your jobs when in reality most manufacturors are located in an Asian country and have factories there. Not only because it is a lot cheaper but even the car builders go there because the people are a lot smarter.
As my History Honors teacher said the Asian nations will take over pretty soon. Not only because of their population but because of their ability to sustain that population and educate them to succed in life.

    That's my two cents.

In general, it's not so much that Asian people are smarter on average, but rather that their education system is assloads better than anything here in america. American education blows, but not many Americans are willing to admit it...

that depends on where you live. schools in the northeast are many times better than anything in the west coast/south. I've also heard that schools in the midwest are awful, with the exception of salt lake city.

 sometimes is ----ed up too be that smart cuz you dont enjoy your childhood etc

alot of this has to do with the way your parents raised you... if they tell you how important school is since you are too young... you grow upp and want to have a career and succed in life... but if your parents doesnt care... you do w/e you want
