What is an average processor temp supposed to be? Because my +4400 is showing up as 50degrees celcius? Is that ok?
Well I certainly hope 50 degrees is alright, because my CPU (Intel P4 3.20GHz) is at about 56 - 58 on load. Usually maxes out at 57. No problems yet, so you should be fine at 50 Degrees.

It depends for : AMD a standby/idle temp should be around 30 degrees celcius. and active around 40 degrees. This is based on the standard cooler brought with your CPU For Intel Pentium series its higher, around 50 degrees on standby/idle and active 60 to 70 degrees. This is nothing wrong. If you think your CPU temp is to high, remove the cooler and check for the cool pasta. To much isnt good, but nothing isnt good either
An AMD should run cooler than that, but thats still a good temp ... depends on the climate you live in too. Like in the summer or in hot climates, your computer is obviously going to run hotter. I dont know how to measure CPU temp on my computer but I know that my Hard Drive runs at about 35 C at load and my graphics card is about 55 C at load.
i used everest home edition, under computers/motherboard there is a thing called sensor, you right click that and click on report, and itll show you it in text, or whatever you picked.
My cpu runs at about 20c idle and about 25-30c under load. I was worried about heat when building my pc so I replaced the heatsink fan intell gave me and bought another. My system temp usually runs between 25-35c. I wasn't sure just how good my temps were, but after reading this topic i guess i did ok.
Pentium 4s have serious overheating problems, but they are designed to withstand them. for an athlon or a core duo this would be bad long term if it's doing that at stock speeds.
