Processor Problem

    my AMD 64 Athlon 3200+ processor says when im surfing the web and doing little stuff it says 1.81 GHz then when i play game it kickss up to 2.61 Ghz. is that normal ?

    I'm betting it is, because less processer power is neccessary when surfing the web as opposed to when playing a game.

    I believe it may havea system, cool and quiet, that lowers the power when it is not needed..
    but i never thought that a 3200 could get to 2.6

    AMD 3200+ can get 2,8 (with good cooling) I clocked mine to 2,4 :)

    Well I dont know much about OCing anyway...still working on my computer im building atm, which i should finish tonight.
