Problem With Ps Cs2

    this started last week. when im doing something in PS it will suddenly freeze and not respond. this occurs every 5 - 10 mins. after it freezes for a while it will suddenly come back. anyone had this problem b4? any one know how to fix it.

    Have you installed tons of fonts recently?

    Wrong section.

    Um probally your computer...how much ram you have?

    Then that may be your problem if i was you i'd try and sort that out.

    Start > My Computer > HDD (C:) > Program Files > Common Files > Adobe > Fonts > Reqrd > CMaps

    then delete the ones you want to delete. Hope this helps.

    You got 512 MB RAM?

    If so, it did for me too. Now i got 1 GB and stops.

    o.k this used 2 happen 2 me it depened on the srtuff on ur photoshop and comp how maney brushes and fonts have u donloaded and how maney .psds and delete a few of them c how it works now

    its cos ur PC is slow, mine does it but it freezes for like 30secs

    delete lots of fonts then/or reinstall

    going through and deleting heaps now, hardest part is not deleting the basic MS-Fonts such as Arial.

    Had that prob once too, went on for about a week and then it suddenly stopped doing that.
    Never knew what the prob was though.

    i deleted about 1k fonts and it's still happning...

    Like the guy's said, maybe it's your computer that can run all brushe's and tool's and font's...If I were you I would get a better CPU, or a gig of RAM or something..

    i have that problem when i select the i dropper tool somtimes but its only out for about 20 secs.

    try speeding up your computer


    i know some of these have been posted here, but this is what i do

    Well there are several things that you can do to speed up your comp, but to day..

    -Disabling Start-Up programs
    -Cleaning up disk space
    -Getting Rid of viruses
    -Defrag

    I am using Windows XP, so it might be a little different for some users.
