That came up on the third page when I image googled "art". Case and point, the terminology of "art" is completely subjective, and you can't define it.

And that picture I found... I personally see no "art" in it... and from what I can tell... there's no emotions....

Im glad you feel your tags are art.

Do it on a bigger canvas make everyting yourself, and show emotion and then ill care about what you have to say.

I read your peoples long thought out arguements, they're just saying "Tags take skill to".

But whats art without emotion?

Empty is what.

who says you cant express your emotion on a smaller canvas, you can make everything yourself on a small canvas too, why is it the canvas which decides that you are an artist or not?

Some tags have pletny of emotion and portair art.

But 95% of tags lack emotion.

I'm basing my statements on a vast majority of people, who said it was ture 100% of the time? I didn't, its just true for nearly every tag. They're aren't that many that have emotion anymore.

so just by that statement.. tags are no art ?
that's what you're saying

and how do you know that some tags have no emotion in them
do you know the creators emotion when he make's it ?

If you can't see the emotion without knowing the person, then its not very good at all.

You twat.

As I stated previously, most tags take no skill and its "c4d c4d smudge smudge", I'm not saying its true 100% of the time.

But most tags lack, skill , emotion, creativity.

add stock (which you probably got from someone else thats actually doing art)
smudge a little
add c4d
add text (make them microscopic so you'll look uber cool)
and you're done.

you'll get a sig right there. the just isnt a need for "emotion" to do a sig. hell, you can do great sigs just doing those steps.
yeah, the ones posted by .c1 are quite awesome imo. just beautiful. but i dont think any emotion went into making a sig with a dude and a gold fish (even if it's vector)
or adam levine with OMG! c4d and random lines

although that sigs like #5, 6, and the last one do potray emotions such as calmness and determination (they're unique)

Art doesn't need emotion to be called art.

this thread is not to "debate" whether or not a sig is considered art or not
it's about whether or not sigs are an expression of ones emotion (besides boredom)
