viper, you need way faster ram. you should be using atleast DDR400, not DDR133 you have a netburst proc.

your ram is really the bottle neck in your system because P4s are bandwidth snsitive, if you went up to DDR400 your proc would feal almost twice as powerfull.

    here's mine:

nothing impressive, but good enough for me, it's going to last me until socket aM2 comes out and then I'll get a dual core proc.

Amd rule, got this laptop quite cheap, it beats 90% of my mates desktops in processor speed, going to buy a 4400+ later in the year when I build a pc.

get any of these, if your computer supports dual channel get it, if not then go for higher capicity single channel. Don't worry much about timings as you don't overclock. Also get rid of your current ram as it's lack of speed is the reason why it is slow and it would drag the new ram down to its level.

just get a gig of dual channel DDR400 it's currently cheaper than DDR333. your computer will automatically put it to a lower level so that it works, if for some reason it doesn't work, you can still return it to newegg or whomever you bpought it from. FYOI kingston isn't that great, they aren't bad, but there are better ram companies out there.
