Post your processor specs here, include a CPU-Z screenshot too! In the end, lets take a vote at who has the best . If you have an athlonf FX, F U C K off Here is an HTML link to my specs too: My Specs!!
heres mine... the thing is i thought my processor only came in 754 socket and it says 939, if this is true then i dont need to get a new mobo when i need a new processor lol.
viper, you need way faster ram. you should be using atleast DDR400, not DDR133 you have a netburst proc.
your ram is really the bottle neck in your system because P4s are bandwidth snsitive, if you went up to DDR400 your proc would feal almost twice as powerfull. here's mine: nothing impressive, but good enough for me, it's going to last me until socket aM2 comes out and then I'll get a dual core proc.
i just found out that my motherboard is a MSI MS-7184, its micro ATX and it is socket 939 so basically i dont need a new one for a while.
Amd rule, got this laptop quite cheap, it beats 90% of my mates desktops in processor speed, going to buy a 4400+ later in the year when I build a pc. Daz
get any of these, if your computer supports dual channel get it, if not then go for higher capicity single channel. Don't worry much about timings as you don't overclock. Also get rid of your current ram as it's lack of speed is the reason why it is slow and it would drag the new ram down to its level. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList....rice=&maxPrice=
Mine supports Duel channel, but i can only get up to PC 2700, whch i can only find upo to 333Mhz for. Would this be good? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820141429
just get a gig of dual channel DDR400 it's currently cheaper than DDR333. your computer will automatically put it to a lower level so that it works, if for some reason it doesn't work, you can still return it to newegg or whomever you bpought it from. FYOI kingston isn't that great, they aren't bad, but there are better ram companies out there.
