AMD athlon 64 3000+ @ 2.6GHZ(OCed) 2.01GHZ(norm) I don't run OCed unless i need to for gaming or something and then I down clock

    512MB DDR400 PC3200 sdRam

    80 gig HD
    160gig HD

    420 W PSU

    CD-RW drive 48x
    DVD/CD reader 12x

    ATi Radeon 9250

it's more like 2 years old, 6 years ago, a 1.5 GHZ P4 cost 1000$ and 512mb RAM was another thousand, compaq doesn't make high end computers at that price range. also GHZ meen little, an Athlon x2 4800+ runs at 2.4GHZ and outperforms a 3.8GHZ P4 over clocked to 4.8 in effectively every aspect.
