I'm going to have to explain to you how to make popouts aren't I? It's very easy, so listen up! You need three application boxes, the first with your render, the second with your background (you can only put one layer on the background, it's very important that you do so!) which I like to be about 500 x 150, then the third is a large transparent background large enough to fit your render and the background for the sig. Now, you need to make your background how you want, don't colorize, but make sure it's only one layer! Once that is done, press Ctrl-A to highlight the background, then use the moving tool to move it into your transparent background. Next, move the background to where you want on the transparent background, then highlight the render, and move it into the transparent box with your background. Now that you have all your parts together, you can eliminate the other boxes to take away confusion. After this, you may want to crop the image so that only enough space is left to have the sig fit inside. Now you can do what you like with it, colorizing and such. NOW THIS IS IMPORTANT, YOU MUST DO THIS: When you are done, click the layer that the render is on, and click Layer>Layer Style>Outer Glow, then make the color black, make sure it is on Normal, not screen, and make the Size: 1 and Spread: 1. If you like, you can make the transparency of the Outer Glow really low, but at least 1, that's up to you. Now that you are done with it, the most CRUCIAL part of the WHOLE thing now occurs. When saving it, go to Save as for Web, nothing else, then you will have another page pop up, when it does, a Matte option is on the right side. Click this, and make the color as close as possible to the color of the board that you are using it on, then save, and TA DA!!! You have a popout sig. Now when you save the sig normally, make sure you save it as a PSD, so that if you want to change anything on the sig, you are able to. NOTE: When you save the image (Not as Save as for Web, but simply Save As), make sure you save it as a PSD!!!!! There you go man, I hope that helps. If you have any questions, PM me. P.S. ~ When I can get the time to get images for all the steps, I'll update this, so that it'll be all the more easier.
Well, I'm a noob at this, and it is all worded very simply, trust me, and once I can get images (I'm too frieking lazy), then this tut will be top notch, it's very simple to do.
