http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,22439742-2,00.html .... He (the student) asks a question, a question that Kerry says he is going to answer ("Thats alright, let me answer his question") but the police move in to remove him. Watch the video. Seems ridiculous to me.
The police acted on the guy behind them, see he shakes his head and puts his hand across his throat The police in America are total wankers though, there was no need to taser him or arrest him for asking a question
Its not exactly old news, it happened around ten days ago and the investigation in the incident is still under way. However, what they dont show in the video, is the kid being asked to leave the microphone after his alloted time was up, yet refusing to do so. That is disruptive to a public presentation such as this one, and as an adult in college, he should know better. The police had every right to escort him out of the presentation. That being said, they did not however, have any right to taser him. He was already restrained on the ground, and offering to leave on his own accord if they just released him, at which point the campus security decided to taser him. That would be a case of excessive force, or even police brutality. Personally, I hope the kid sues the hell out of them. This is the kind of stuff that goes on that made my father retire from the force.
Meh, not to takes sides or defend the police or anything, but in cases like these... But I think its better to overestimate something than to underestimate it. I don't know the exact story down pact, but maybe they saw some sort of suspicious behavior, you never know..
its kinda ------ed up, the kid asks a question and he gets police brutality like so?, see, i would have loved to been in that situation because then so, i would sue the living ------ out of them for police brutality, Its as simple as that.
ive seen cops do far worse to people for doing less, he was being disruptive and was asked to leave but didnt, then when he was escorted out he resisted arrest.
<span style="color:Grey">I don't know. The guy was a douche. Kerry was going to answer his question. The cops did tell him if he kept resisting he would be tasered. But the fact that that many policemen/women couldn't get cuffs on one guy is pretty pathetic. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqAVvlyVbag...ted&search=</span>
Did a bit of research and this is what I got. http://www.rightwingnews.com/mt331/2007/09...ed_to_be_ta.php Still don't think he deserved to be tasered though.
