My friend tells me how awesome a PC is and how much the 360 and Playstation 3 SUCK in terms of Graphics and everything else..

depends. a game designed with PCs in mind WILL outclass those designed for consoles, Those deisgned for a console and then ported will look better but it's not going to be too crazy.

that said, sony is probably going to be ditching cell, powerVR and larabee as ideas. They cost too much, perform too poorly and are too hard to code for.

 

Well of course a Playstation 4 is in all of our future, assuming none of us find death within the coming years.

I can tell you what I certainly am not buying. Ever.

 

Lol already? I doubt they have enough money to produce a new console so soon.

 

PlayStation 4 will be 100% PlayStation Move, just a guess.

 

Well actually he doesn't believe in that theory, he says that consoles are poorly built and games run on far lower quality on them than they do on PCs, I can't agree with him, I don't find his reasoning logical. If PCs were really that great (which I don't doubt they are) then why would these corporations bother with consoles? I believe that consoles are made for 1 purpose and that is gaming, so if aren't good at it then it doesn't make sense. I saw the specifications of the XBox 360 and it has a lower graphic card than the one I have in my PC (512MB nVidia Geforce 8800GT) and this is according to him. He says my graphic card can perform better than the XBox 360..

Weird?

 

the consoles software titles are optimized to hell and beyond.

the consoles are designed for a single purpose, MAKING money. PS3 = fail, umm

now the benefit that we can get out of them is irrelevant of that purpose. There are a lot of good games which can only be played by means of one of those consoles.

and your graphics card can play games at higher settings than the console parts, try GTA4.

 

So basically PCs are better than consoles right?

they're more powerful. better is an interesting term though. I would say that you're looking for enjoyment/$ moreso than anything.

consoles CAN and do deliver in that regard, especially when you factor in the number of exclusive titles.

 

gaming on console is more relax you can sit on the couch with a controller in the hand.. although i always found shooters better for pc..

but for graphics pc is better but WAY more expensive.

 

hiiighly doubt that will come out in 2012. they'll probably postpone it to 2014.
