Definately plasma. Pros Plasmas have better coloring than most lcds. They are slightly cheaper in most areas. Much higher contrast ratio. Every angle you view them it looks the same. Cons Some use slightly more power consumption. They are a bit darker than lcds. Some do burn in but most don't with the newer plasma tvs. Im sure I am missing a thing or two but that is the basics. I recently bought a Plasma Panasonic Viera 42inch plasma for $899 and it looks insane. I use to be bias against Plasmas because of hearing how they don't last very long etc. but I actually looked at reviews/information and found out plasmas are a bit better than LCDs. If there is a good quantity of plasmas in your area I would suggest to go with plasma.
