I think cheap, good tutorials that will overall help members of GR a lot should be pinned. Pinning a topic as a bribe is power abuse IMO. Thats horrible moderating. :/

By "cheap, good tutorials that will overall help members of GR a lot", I mean tutorials that fit under this criteria:
    - Cheap, so maybe max 20 credits per tutorial
    - Good tutorial, meaning that of the people who bought the tutorial, almost all thought it was very good and helpful
    - Sold many times already. I think 50 or 100 is a good number.
    - Must sell at least one copy every 2 days.

For donators, maybe let them sell tuts for up to 25 ea, give them 3 days to sel the tut, and didnt have to sell as many times. Just as another thing to get people to get donator. :tounge:

LOL @ Jealousy. If you don't want to pay the 1k don't complain it's easy as that. There were no bribes or abuse of power get over it.

I look at it like marketing what I'm selling, because that's essentially all there is to it. No hidden agendas or anything like you're trying to say there are.

if pinning your tutorial selling topic in paid tutorials is a marketing technique, then why can people say like PRO OMG SEMI PRO on their topic titles in auction hall, that's basically an overused marketing technique to sell total crap.

The interesting part is, its been proven that pinned topics actually get less views then non pinned.

That being said. I have also pinned topics in the tutorial sections before for credits. Although I did not keep the credits, I just took them out of the system.

And in order for us to abuse powers, it would have to be something that the admin/upper managment didnt want us doing. Since this discussion came up some time ago, when a mod pinned a topic in general, when others wherent being allowed to. It was decided that its a perk of the job.

it might be a perk of the job, but when they start doing it as 'favor's' it becomes more imo....

This entire argument is so stupid .Fatal. It's obvious that we're going to keep it the way it is, so why bother wasting our time whining about not being friendly with any mods?

I think it should be like the shop, if the owner of the tutorial doesn't get any sales/activity for lets say 2 weeks, then it shoiuld be unpinned?

Damn I just realised that its 800c, thought it was like 200c lol.

thats your opinong that this is 'so stupid' obviously people have differewnt opinons or this forum wouldnt be here, because we would all magically agree on things.

why not get the opinions of the people YOUR stealing page views and customers from, or the people who deserve a pinned topic and cant get one because they arent 'your friend' like dizastr?

also, im not 'whinning about not being friendly with mods'
ive never once said i dislike any mods.
ive said theyve abued their power, wich they have, imo, obviouly not in your opinon, or you wouldnt be doing it, but this topic obviously isnt 'so stupid' or people wouldnt be agreeing with me.

Yes, I disagree with you entirely here because to me the argument is just another case of someone yelling foul because they're not getting their way. I still also fail to see how pinning a few topics is abusing our power. If I really abused my powers as mod, I would've banned you or closed this topic by now for you disagreeing with me. Pinning a topic to maybe get a few extra views or sales along with not having to bump is more of me being lazy than it is abusive.

If you ask me, saying people shouldn't pin their tutorials because it steals views and sales is like saying someone like Atreyu shouldn't sell their sigs in the auction room because people are more likely to go in and bid on his than someone else. That about sums up my stance on this in the best way I can state it.
