Pinned Shops...

In the Shops and Services section, there are nearly 25 pinned shops and it's annoying me for some reason. Shouldn't there be a certain ammount of posts before it can be pinned?

We can buy Pin item in the Shop so i don't think they can do that... =)

 

old PINNED threads should at least be cleaned up

especially if the shop owners arent operating / active anymore

 

I agree.

But there is alot there and some don't even get used.

 

Some do get removed even when they are still active, mine was removed and i dont know why lol

They dont bother me so i dont see why they should be removed unless of course they are no longer active

 

Well i think ones with the max of 2 months and no new posts should get removed completly.

Ya, i gussed, it would be unfair to delete the topic incase then because re-active.

 

Old should be removed, but active not

 

That would create conflict, considering the current members who bought the item, and are using it actively, will be penalized.
When they bought the item originally, they were promised that it would last lifetime unless the topic got in-active. (My understanding.)

I believe there should just be a clean-up of the topis that are not active anymore, that should be more than enough to eliminate excess pinned topics.

Well, I think it's fine now, but since donaters get a discount so many people can get it pinned. It's not bad having too many pinned topics if thier active, it shows you the active shops.

 

Considering that all of the pinned shops at the moment are relatively active, we won't be cleaning it up. The members pay to get their topics pinned, so they'll be staying pinned unless the topic becomes so inactive that it's just dead space.
