Photoshop Problem

    ok, everytime i'm working on a sig and i want to open my filter gallery it takes like 3mins to load, is this normal and how can it be solved??

    when it's finally loaded evrything's ok, but on my old pc (laptop) it took 2seconds to load and now my computer is way more powerfull...

    i have 1gb ram and intel pentium 4processor so it's not my computers fault

    depends on howe many filters you have.

    You also may have spyware. Try search and destroy, Ad-aware, and Microsoft's spyware killer. That should make it faster.

    Also, if you have too many processes running, close some of them.

    with my stock fiters on cs it takes about 5 sec idk did u add a lot of filters?

    This may sound funny, but how many fonts do you have?

    If you recently downloaded a font pack I'd bet that's your problem.

    Also, how much ram do you have? Of that ram, how much is Photoshop allotted? It recommends at least 300 I think, can't remember exactly.

    i don't have many fonts (like 100) my ram is 1gb and i didn't add filters (didn't knew you could do that :D) still need help..

    i hope someone knows the answer for my problem

    SPYWARE

    sorry, but if you didnt see my first post, it can also be spyware that is slowing down your computer.

    yeah, i used my antispyware but it's still really slow, i think it's photoshop and not my pc where the problem is...gonna try to uninstall it and install it again, hope that works :D

    If all else fails, you could back-up everything and reformat your comp ....
