I havn't used photoshop for a while, I have been very busy, I recently got back to it, I was doing some brushing, I did a color balance on one of the layers it worked fine, I selected the second layer and tried to color balance that, moving the bars had absolutly no effect. I tried hue/sat and it also had no effect, if I rise the lightning it shows up a tiny bit. I have no idea what the problem is.

    Any help is appreciated.

Btw, I have reinstalled a couple of times, no help. I think this might have happend when I installed cs2 and reverted back to cs/7.

I think the brushing layer is to 'empty' to color. There is not eanough brushing on that layer.

Why dont you use adjustment layers? (Layer - new adjustment layer - color balance)

    That should work lots easier!

Try re-settings all of the settings back to default. You do Shift + Ctrl + Alt on Photoshop's startup.

I'll try reseting my settings and I'll also try the adjustment layer.

It might have been a while since I used photoshop, but I still don't make simple mistakes like not having preview on or color mode :P.

I'll see how it goes when I get home, thanks for the help.

The problem is, that after the first layer, the rest just don't do anything, the only thing that has any effect is hue/saturation and I have the set the brightness completly up to see anything come through. Even if I duplicate the first layer, I won't be able to edit it the second time.

The simplest solution is usually the right one.

    Is it checked?
