Ok, I am finaly going to get photoshop and my parents want to buy Photoshop elements 4.0. Is this version of photoshop good or atleast decent for editing pictures (I would not know). And if there is a better and fair priced version of photoshop please tell me. And please leave feedback on this program. I want to make sure that I'm getting the right one. Thanks!

i wouldnt buy elements, my friend has it and the work he does is aweful.its not as good as PS, PS is the best. if you want to get a GFX program to make sigs like the pros, get PS CS or CS2. their the essential GFX software :D

If you cant afford CS2 then try and get a copy of CS or 7 cheap.

    So my question is:

Can you make signatures on photoshop elements 4.0?

^kind of, you dont have all the extra blending options such as bevels and shadows on layers ect.

Cs is more expensive than Cs2 for some reason. im sure it is or i might be imagining something. but if you can make sigs on PS elements 4 (you can but they will suck) i doubt they will be worth of battling or comparing to the lamest GFX here :)

You get bevel's and shadows, you just don't get the filters and whatnot.

Here's some junk I made when I had the wimpiest version of elements out there:

Mostly the only way to get cool stuff is to take other images and mess around...

One of my first PSCS2 sigs:

    See the difference?

Yeah, but I'd flush it down the toilet. Half of the elements are missing...

You cant get brushes for photoshop elements, Downloaded brushes are good for begining, if you are just making sigs

I suggest you return it, because its not worth it
