I'm just curious about what kind of features everyone would like to see in the next version of Photoshop. Layer Types: Personally, the main thing I would like to see is more flexability with layer "types" (I guess you could call it that). For example, to sharpen an entire sig you usually have to make a new layer, go to Apply Image, and then sharpen it. If you want to change something after you have used Apply Image but still want to keep it sharpened you have to delete the Apply Image layer, change the sig, then do it AI again and then sharpen it over. There should be a feature in Photoshop that lets you create a new layer, sharpen it (or use any other filters), and treat that layer as if it were an Adjustment Layer (be able to move the layer over and under other layers and only effect those paricular layers). This would make creating GFX a lot easier. .APNG Support: I also would LOVE to see ".apng" support in Photoshop and ImageReady. I know most of you have never heard of ".apng" so I'll explain. ".apng" is basically an animated version of the ".png" file extension. As many of you know, ".gif" is the most widely used file type for animation but the downside to the ".gif" format is that it only supports 256 colors while ".png" files support 16 million. Also, if you want a picture to have a soft translation from a solid color to a transparency, it is impossible with a ".gif". Example: Notice how the edges of the picture look like crap. Also notice the low quality of the render itself. With a ".png" the edges will stay smooth, there can actually be smooth transparencies, and the quality will stay perfect. Now imagine if you will (always wanted to say that ) an animated picture with the same quality as a ".png", smooth transparencies, and smooth edges..........that's what ".apng" is.
if they do that i think they will loose a lot of money, because big buisnessess buy photoshop by like, the 1000s. but the first idea was good.
i realy dont know i think its already perfect i had a idea but i forgot but i think 70% of the photoshoppers got it and didn't buy it.. dont ask me how ,lol did you actualy bought it in the store?
Yeah, there wasn't much change at all. If they do make a CS3 (hopefull) there'll be more unique features that no other program has.
