I would just suggest to let voting begin for the next competition before the first one ends so everyone can can know whats going to be next so if they don't have that type of photograph they can take pictures. This will help more people to be able to enter the next contest instead of just a few people being able to enter...

    What does everyone think?

I have no idea what you are talking about.
"to let voting begin for the next competition before the first one ends"
SO voting(which is right at the end of the comp) on the second comp starts before the first on has ended?

    I'm slightly confused here.
Why do you need to take the photo before the competition opens, since the entry thread is open for ages giving you easily enough time to get the theme and take a picture...

Well because if your looking for a certain picture, weather and such affects what you take. Also a lot of people have to work and such and sometimes a photo is not just in your backyard.

I really honestly don't see the point of giving them 3 extra days to take photo when they have a lot of time either way. Up to Nicasus.

You get 2 weeks the time when a photography competition starts to make a photo and to be honest I think that's enough.

And we won't choose themes you really have to travel for, we won't ask for photo's from pyramids from Egypt or something ;)
