Details: Take photos of a culture of cultural events. These can vary from different religious events for example but anything that is seen as a culture counts. For example, hip hop is also a culture...

Yeah, that works. It expresses the culture in Venice, with the gondelas and stuff ^^

You're gonna have to deal with the culture in Portland, my friend, as that's the only place I'll be for a while. I could always submit my mime photo from France, but where's the fun in that? These are supposed to make me take more pictures, not less

Does it have to do with people in it or can it be an iconic location of a culture

Can be a location as well of course :)
Anything that defines a culture is suitable. For example, we here in Belgian have a lot of famous comicbook artists like Hergé, Peyo ... so taking a picture of one of the many statues around Belgium of one of those comicbook characters would also be considered as cultural ;)

Put mine up. I got to get into the carnival for free too! Was part of an event, and they let all 1600 of us in at no charge. The rides cost money, of course.

I might change it. I don't know. I have another idea, but I'm really attracted to the colors in the one up now :)

Sad story: after taking that shot, the on/off switch on the camera got tweaked a bit without me realizing it. The whole event I was shooting (which was seven friggin minutes total), I couldn't once get the aperture to change because of that. I wanted to shoot it at F10 or F11, but I was stuck at F5.6! No motion blur at all :(. I might have known what to look for, but I was borrowing a camera, and a Canon, no less! Ah well, it was fun to play with a friend's camera and learn something about Canon.
