http://www.petitiononline.com/KZ2SSMP/petition.html this is for killzone 2 but if this petition suceeds it will let ALL the game devs know that we FPS gamers want and need split screen, please sign the petition, it only takes 1-2 seconds thanks in advance
Ummm... Almost every recent game I've played (HALO 1-3, Rainbow6, etc.) Are split screen... o.0 I will gladly sign it though I hate non-ss game
Split screen isn't really dying. I've seen split screen in most of the games that I have. Cal of duty series, rainbow six, and quite a few others. The first disappointment in no split-screen play was Crackdown, which would've been hella sick in split screen.
I'll make a petition to NOT have split screen games. reasoning: opponents can see what you're doing smaller viewable area lower frame rates the only games where split screen is justifiable are races and that's about it. all other games are either doable in single screen or just fail now games supporting dual monitors... THAT I would support.
some people have friends in real life who might not have the console, but want to play the game with..you know when you just wanna have some fun, nothing hardcore...split screen is great! especially during those days when we have no idea wat 2 do =|
I agree with him ^^ and if you wonna play Co-op, hmm maybe then splitscreen but as xlink said, smaller viewable area, that's the thing that bothers me the most.
Split screen is good, i'll sign it in a sec Also, why would you not want to have split screen just because your opponent can see you, you have a smaller view, and lower frame rates? Isn't split screening better than having to either buy a new console and get on XBL or having to find a friend to rotate playing with?
buying a separate system is more ideal, more power to go around. rendering two scenes simultaneously is more computationally intensive... but that's not really the problem, the consoles of today have vastly under utilized CPUs and graphical settings can be knocked down a bit... but as it stands the current gen of consoles have a major memory deficit and adding in more players doesn't help. PC side this isn't THAT big of a deal, but then again implementing a second monitor or screen in such a case would be a fair deal simpler and arguably better in such a case. now you might ask why such a thing would be relevant... let's face it though, the next generation of consoles will be a lot more like home computers than this generation's systems more comparable amount of memory, full USB support and most likely the ability to run a fair number of apps. the next generation of consoles will be GREAT. i'm just hoping for expandable memory, like the N64
But everything doesnt need to be loaded up twice, it only needs to be loaded once the maps and weapons are all there, its just adding on another camera to the map besides if you dont like splitscreen then you dont have to use it.
u guys do realize splitscreen is for like a group of people who just want to play to have some fun right nothing hardcore...u know people who have friends?...its not like its gotta be hardcore =|
