A while back in English, we were discussing whether we were "optimists" or "realists". my response was that you cant use realism as a substitute for pessimism. i see myself as a realist. if theres potential for something great, i try to see it, but at the same time, i try to see any possible hinderances.

are you a realist, pessimist, or optimist?
is there a difference between pessimism and realism?

I'd say I'm a realist for the most part but I do tend to try and see the lighter side of things.

Pessimist here, but it isnt through choice.. In my experience, I've learned that when you start to hope for something, the opposite usually happens.

I would say that I am more optomisitc. But if I have a feeling that something could go awry, I'll tend to see the bad side as opposed to the good.

Depends on my mood. Some days it seems like I'm an Optimist, other days I'm just a Pessimist
